| To change RAM in
a notebook computer:
1. Make sure PC is off and unplugged.
2. Locate the memory door on the bottom of
the notebook, and open. (most have one screw that you must remove)
3. Locate the RAM slots. (Figure A)
4. Press tabs outward to release RAM. RAM
will pop up slightly.
5. Insert new RAM into the slot firmly,
press the RAM down toward the top of the notebook until the tabs snap back into place.
(RAM should lay flat)
6. Close the memory door and secure it with
the screw.
Your computer will recognize the RAM
automatically. No configuration is needed. |
