1. Make sure the computer is off and unplugged.

2. Open the computer case.

3. Remove the computer's faceplate.

(For steps 2 and 3 you may need to consult your computer's user's manual.)

4. Disconnect the CD/DVD/ROM internal power cable.

5. Disconnect the CD/DVD/ROM data cable.

6. Remove the CD/DVD/ROM.

 (Most computer's CD/DVD/ROM's slide out from the front however your particular computer may not. Consult your computer's user's manual for assistance.)
