How to choose a domain name.
|
Website & Template
|
|
A domain name should follow a few basic guidelines.
- The domain should be as short as possible.
(For example; Jackrussellsarethebestdogsintheworld.com is
not a good site name, however jackrussell.com is perfect because
of its simplicity. This will also help avoid typo's.)
- Your domain name should be memorable. A unique name will
insure people will be able to find your site with ease.
- Make sure your domain name is relevant. If your site is
centered around dogs you wouldn't want the domain cats.com
- Finally you should narrow your domain as much as possible to
make it easy to understand exactly what the site is
about. (For example; dogs.com is good but if your site is
centered around the pit-bull, pitbulls.com is much better.)
