| Meta tags are line's of html
that are hidden from site visitors in the <HEAD></HEAD>
Tag. These lines of code are used by web crawlers to obtain information
about you site. The two most common meta tags are <META
NAME="DESCRIPTION"> and <META
NAME="KEYWORDS">. These tags are pretty much self explanatory,
the description tag is the description of your page and the keyword tag
will list keywords. In today's internet world especially larger search
engine web crawlers tend to ignore meta tags and substitute their own
keywords and description. |
